Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl 2024 ★★★½ Watched 20 Jan 2025 I liked it, but I can't say I loved the film. It’s an enjoyable experience that entertains from start to finish. The story offers an interesting take on how technology, while essential and helpful in our lives, should never completely replace humans, showing that we can all coexist without one thing overshadowing the other. On top of that, the pacing is well done, with no boring or dragged-out moments, and the runtime feels just right. The characters remain charming and carry the subtle humor that defines the series, but I have to admit that Wallace’s personality irritated me at times. His stubbornness and naivety, which are usually endearing, became a bit frustrating, especially when he completely ignores Gromit's warnings and due to his lazy and complacent attitude. Still, the dynamic between them works well and keeps the charm they are known for. The biggest highlight, as always, is the amazing stop-motion animation. It's fascinating to see the level of detail and dedication put into the sets and character movements. There were moments when I found myself admiring the painstaking effort behind every little motion and expression, imagining the time and hard work the team must have put in to achieve such perfection. Overall, I didn’t find it amazing or unforgettable, but it’s a solid production that does its job well. I'm sure both kids and adults will enjoy it, whether for the nostalgia, the animation, or the clever humor that, even if not always laugh-out-loud funny, keeps a constant smile on the viewer’s face. PT Gostei, mas não posso dizer que adorei o filme. É uma experiência agradável, que consegue entreter do início ao fim. A história apresenta uma crítica interessante à forma como a tecnologia, apesar de ser indispensável e facilitar a nossa vida, nunca deve substituir totalmente os humanos, mostrando que todos podemos coexistir sem que uma coisa anule a outra. Além disso, o ritmo do filme é muito bem conseguido, sem momentos aborrecidos ou arrastados, e a duração está no ponto certo. As personagens continuam carismáticas e com aquele humor subtil tão característico da saga, mas confesso que a personalidade do Wallace me irritou em alguns momentos. A sua teimosia e ingenuidade, que costumam ser encantadoras, por vezes tornaram-se um pouco frustrantes, sobretudo quando ele ignora completamente os avisos do Gromit e também pela sua postura preguiçosa e acomodada . Ainda assim, a dinâmica entre os dois funciona bem e mantém o charme que sempre os caracterizou. O grande destaque, como sempre, vai para a incrível animação em stop-motion. É fascinante perceber o nível de detalhe e dedicação envolvidos na conceção dos cenários e na animação das personagens. Há momentos em que me vi a admirar o trabalho exaustivo por trás de cada movimento e expressão, imaginando o tempo e o esforço que a equipa deve ter investido para alcançar este nível de perfeccionismo. No geral, não achei incrível ou memorável, mas é uma produção competente que cumpre bem o seu papel. Tenho a certeza de que tanto miúdos como graúdos vão gostar, seja pela nostalgia, pela animação ou pelo humor inteligente que, mesmo não sendo sempre hilariante, mantém um sorriso constante no rosto do espectador.
